At the July 9 OPDA Board of Directors meeting, the board approved a motion to add a Top Raw Time Championship trophy to the 2026 season championships.
The trophy is a single-winner award and will be presented to the driver accumulating the most raw time points over the course of the full 2026 season.
The new award is in part an effort to engage members that might have vehicles not competitive in the PAX-based championships due to the effects of large-lot PAX classifications on the small lots used by the Okanagan Autocross.
The number of events included in the calculation will mirror the OPDA Overall and Group Championships where a “competitor’s total championship points shall be derived by summing their highest results from a maximum of 75% (rounded down) of events held.”
